The Nature of Water

Artwork Statement: Practitioners in a variety of spiritual traditions are often encouraged to look deeply into their experience to better understand their place in the world. When we consider the nature of water metaphorically or otherwise, we may see that although water easily transitions among its many forms (e.g. liquid, vapor, solid) and behaves in different ways (e.g. mist, ripples, waves) depending on the circumstances, it never disappears entirely! Applying that insight to the human condition may lead to surprising insights!

The Nature of Water was selected by curator Margaret Knepper for inclusion in the Studio Art Quilt Associates’ Virtual Gallery “Made it Splash” February 2026.
